The Categoría Primera A

The Categoría Primera A, also known as Liga BetPlay Dimayor, is the top professional football (soccer) league in Colombia. It is the highest level of the Colombian football league system. The league consists of 20 teams that compete in two separate tournaments per year: the Apertura and the Finalización. Each tournament has its own champion. 

The season began on January 24, 2025, and will end on December 14, 2025. It is divided into two tournaments: Apertura and Finalización, each awarding an independent title.

The current Finalización 2024 champion is Atlético Nacional, who also won the 2025 Superliga Colombiana (super cup between Apertura and Finalización champions) in February, beating Atlético Bucaramanga on penalties.
